Chippenham Mayor Conor Melvin will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge this May.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest peak in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours and Conor hopes to raise lots of money for his chosen charities, Wiltshire Mind and TeenTalk.
Both charities provide invaluable mental health support services in and around our town, but face ever growing pressures and demand for their services.
100% of all donations will go to the charities and they have pledged to spend the money on services within Chippenham.
You can find out about each of the charities here:
Connor has been raising funds for both charities through his mayoral year, and all funds raised will be kept in the Chippenham Town Council's nominated mayoral charity account, which will then be presented to the charities at the next Mayor's Investiture Ceremony (in May 2025, about 2 weeks after the challenge is completed).
